Narrow Depth of Field

A sunny  day at PCC West Campus at the end of September, a palm frond shades the side walk.

A bee enjoys the nectar of a desert bird of paradise on a mid-afternoon day in September.

A flash is used to capture the ants crawling on a blooming barrel cactus at PCC West Campus during the month of September.

  1. Nice job. The center photo is a traditional shot that works very well. Bottom photo has interesting light. Top photo is intriguing, but almost so abstract that it's difficult to tell what it is. In this case, slightly less depth of field to put the entire frond in focus might have been better.
